Homemade Banana Pudding
This is the video that got the ball rolling over here in Calibama! My husband loves banana pudding, so much so that sometimes I have to make him a separate dish that he doesn’t have to share with anyone. The good part about that, is I always know what to make for his birthday, Father’s Day, anything special….banana pudding it is! So imagine how absolutely ecstatic I was when over 250,000 people watched it on Facebook.
Before I get any upset messages, let me say, I grew up with meringue on my banana pudding. BUT, as I entered adulthood, and started cooking myself, I switched to homemade whipped cream. Both ways are delicious and I like ’em all. Ok….got that out of the way! 🙂
In full disclosure, the process is a little involved, but it is so worth it! There is no box pudding in this, etc… You make the pudding yourself with egg yolks, flour, you get the picture. But don’t be intimidated. It’s really not that difficult. Just take a deep breath, and go for it! When you’re done, pat yourself on the back, and eat as a big of a piece as you want to.
I think my Sweetie Pie is on to something big! Enjoy!
